1. Introduction
FileDrop is a local network file transfer app developed by Clearforge Studio.
Respecting your privacy is a core principle of the project. This policy explains what data is — or is not — collected.
No cloud. No account. No tracking of your files.
2. File transfers
All transfers happen locally between devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Files are never sent to remote servers and are never accessible by Clearforge Studio.
3. Personal data
FileDrop collects no personal data, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- File names or contents
- Location data
4. Advertising
The free version of FileDrop may display ads through Google AdMob.
Google may collect anonymous technical data, such as:
- Advertising identifiers
- Device information
- Diagnostic data
These data are processed directly by Google, according to their privacy policy:

FileDrop offers a Premium version to remove ads via a one-time purchase, with no subscription.
No additional personal data is collected when purchasing Premium.
6. Local storage
Some information may be stored locally on your device, including:
- Premium status
- Selected download folder
These data never leave your device.
7. Security
FileDrop uses only local network connections. No data is transmitted to external servers during transfers.
8. Third-party services
FileDrop may use the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob (ads)
- Google Play Billing (payments)
