Pendulys is a pendulum app made for entertainment and reflection, published by Clearforge Studio. This page explains what data the app uses, why, and what choices you have.

Publisher and contact: Clearforge Studio — [email protected].

1. What the app keeps on your phone

Your session journal (the question, the answer, the date and your notes), your physical pendulum conventions (calibration), your customization choices (pendulum, dial, ambience), your settings (language, sounds, vibration) and the state of your purchase are stored on your device only. Pendulys has no user account and does not send this data to our servers.

The app turns off Android's automatic backup: your journal is not copied to the cloud that way. It is deleted when you uninstall the app, or from Settings ("Delete my journal"). Your calibration conventions can be edited or deleted from the "My physical pendulum" area. A virtual session only enters the journal if you choose to save it.

2. Voice dictation

You can dictate your question instead of typing it. The app then asks for permission to use the microphone, only at that moment: if you refuse, the keyboard remains fully usable.

Recognition is handled by Android's speech recognition service (usually provided by Google), not by Pendulys. Depending on your device and settings, it may process your voice online under its own rules. Pendulys only receives the transcribed text, does not record or keep any audio file, and never listens continuously. Avoid dictating sensitive information (health, banking, personal data).

3. What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, location, or access to your contacts, photos, camera or files. Your questions, answers, notes and transcripts are never sent to an audience measurement tool or to an advertising service. We do not use any audience measurement tool that identifies you.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob, as a banner on some screens (for example the home screen and the boards library). No ad appears during a consultation, on a full-screen board or on a purchase screen. The Premium purchase removes ads. To show them, Google may collect and use your device's advertising ID, your IP address, device and app information and an approximate location derived from the IP address. These processing activities are described in Google's policy.

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your consent (Google UMP form) before loading ads. You can change your mind at any time in Settings ("Privacy choices"). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads).

5. In-app purchase (Google Play, RevenueCat)

If you buy Premium (one-time purchase), payment is handled by Google Play: we never see or keep your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check that the purchase is active and to restore it: RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID and purchase information, but not your name or email. See RevenueCat's policy.

6. Internet connection

The app's main use (pendulum, boards, journal) does not need a connection. The internet is used for ads, the consent form, purchases and, depending on your device, speech recognition.

7. Sharing, links and emails

When you share the app, the text is passed to the app you choose in Android's share sheet: we do not receive it. The "Privacy policy" button and the support options open your browser or your email app. If you write to us, we use your address only to reply.

8. An entertainment tool

The virtual pendulum's answers are drawn at random, and the movement of a physical pendulum is neither measured nor interpreted by the app. Pendulys gives no medical, legal or financial advice and predicts nothing: do not base any important decision on its answers. Avoid entering sensitive information about yourself or others in the journal.

9. Children

Pendulys is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

10. Your rights

Because we do not keep personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete. For any question or request about your data (access, erasure, objection), write to [email protected]. For data processed by Google or RevenueCat, you can also contact them directly.

11. Changes

We may update this page, for example if the app changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
