What EMF Meter measures
- The total magnetic field, in µT (or mG, G)
- The variation from your ambient reference
- The maximum and peaks of a session
- The sensor's actually observed rate
EMF Meter reads your phone's magnetometer, shows the total field in µT and lights five LEDs according to how much the field changes around you. Real measurements: nothing is simulated.

Move the phone away from sources and keep it still for a few seconds: the app sets an ambient reference, with a stability check.

Bring the phone close to an object. The LEDs light up according to how the field varies from your reference.

Start a session: duration, maximum and peaks are tracked. With Premium, the history comes with charts.
From green to red, the LEDs show the relative intensity of the variation, with smooth and stable behaviour. The total field in µT and the variation appear on the same screen.
Bring the phone close: the LEDs react to how the field varies around the object.
Check the effect of a case, a mount or an accessory on the field.
Compare the magnetic field from room to room, with the same reference method.
A metal object can disturb the local field: EMF Meter shows the variation, without promising to detect everything.
Simple demonstrations about the Earth's magnetic field, in class or at home.
Many investigators carry an EMF meter. EMF Meter shows real variations and leaves the interpretation to you: it does not detect ghosts.
Accuracy depends on your phone's sensor, and magnetic cases, metal objects and speakers can affect readings.
No subscription. An optional tip supports development; it unlocks nothing.

The app does not access them.
Nothing to create, nothing to sign in to.
Your sessions stay on your phone.
Measuring depends on no server.
EMF Meter turns your Android phone into a magnetic field detector. The app reads the built-in magnetometer, shows the total field in microtesla (µT, but also mG or G) and lights five LEDs, from green to red, according to the variation from an ambient reference you calibrate in one tap. Values come straight from the sensor: nothing is simulated.
It is used to find a magnet, a speaker or a motor, check a magnetic case or mount, compare the field between rooms, or run experiments on the Earth's magnetic field. Sessions track duration, maximum and peaks, with optional vibration and sound alerts, only when a real threshold is crossed. A shortcut turns on the flashlight, and the app works offline.
EMF Meter is an indicative, uncertified tool: it only measures variations of the magnetic field, not electric fields or Wi-Fi, and it does not detect ghosts. It is free to measure; a one-time Premium purchase adds history with charts, notes, CSV export, fine sensitivity settings, skins and sound packs.
The total magnetic field, in µT (or mG, G), using your phone's magnetometer, and its variation from an ambient reference you calibrate. Five LEDs, from green to red, show the relative intensity of that variation.
It must have a magnetometer, which most Android phones do. Without a sensor, the app shows a status screen and no fake readings.
No. It only measures variations of the magnetic field: not electric fields, not Wi-Fi, not 5G, and not 50/60 Hz the way a dedicated instrument would. It is an indicative, uncertified tool that gives no medical or safety advice.
No. Some investigators believe that spirits disturb magnetic fields, but this has never been scientifically proven: such variations usually come from wiring, appliances, speakers, magnets or phone movement. EMF Meter shows real variations, unmodified, and leaves the interpretation to you.
Move the phone away from metal objects, remove any magnetic case and keep it still for a few seconds: the app sets the ambient reference after a stability check. The five LEDs, from green to red, then show the relative intensity of the variation.
The free version offers the 5 LEDs, calibration, sounds and vibration, a temporary session and 3 sensitivity modes. Premium, a one-time purchase with no subscription, adds history with charts, notes, CSV export, fine sensitivity settings, skins and sound packs.
No. There is no account: your measurements and sessions stay on your phone, and the app does not access location, camera or microphone.
EMF Meter is available on Google Play, in English and French: the download button is at the top of this page. The app works with no account and offline.
