PromptrGo is the simple video teleprompter for content creators: you write or import your script, auto-scroll it and read with confidence, in full screen or in a floating window placed above the camera app you already use (YouTube, Shorts, Reels, TikTok, your phone camera, training videos or pitches).
Reading is adjustable live: scrolling from 60 to 300 words per minute, text size, line height, width, left or centered alignment, mirror mode and a 3 or 5 second countdown. Simple gestures (tap to pause, double-tap to restart, pinch to resize) and resuming where you left off complete the picture. The editor offers autosave, undo and redo, word count and estimated reading time; you can import .txt, .md, .docx and .odt files.
PromptrGo has no built-in camera or recording: it asks for no camera or microphone permission, and your scripts stay on your phone, with no account and no cloud. Every feature is free; a banner appears on the home screen only, never while you edit or read, and a one-time purchase, with no subscription, removes the ads. Does PromptrGo record the video?
No, the app has no built-in camera or microphone and asks for neither permission: you film with the camera app of your choice.
What if the floating window does not appear?

Can I import text written elsewhere and back it up?
Yes: paste it, import a .txt, .md, .docx or .odt file, or share it from another app. Your library can be backed up to a single file, and each script exported as .txt.
